Indulge your senses at the hand-crafted markets in the West End, experience the artistic side of the Pilbara through Indigenous, local and international exhibitions at the Courthouse Gallery, explore the workings of one of the world's largest iron ore producers with a tour of BHP Billiton Iron Ore or glimpse a rare natural wonder as our flat-back turtle hatchlings make their way for the first time to the Indian Ocean.

Reef walks with Doris

Join local marine monitor Doris Teufel for popular reef walks along the Port Hedland coastline. Port Hedland is home to a unique and colourful eco-system, and this is the best way to learn more about our natural habitat.

This involves walking on slippery rocks and through deeper water. Remember to wear closed-in shoes and to bring a torch, hat, a bottle of water, sunscreen and a camera with fully charged batteries
